1. Definitions
1.1 “Company” refers to Veto Pest Ltd, registered in England and Wales.
1.2 “Client” refers to the person, business, or entity purchasing services from the Company.
1.3 “Services” means pest, bird, and vermin control, inspection, treatment, proofing, and related work carried out by the Company.
1.4 “Premises” refers to the location where Services are provided.
2. General
2.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to all Services provided by the Company.
2.2 By accepting a quotation or booking Services, the Client agrees to be bound by these Terms.
2.3 These Terms comply with applicable UK legislation including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and relevant health and safety regulations.
3. Quotations and Pricing
3.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
3.2 Prices are based on information provided by the Client; additional charges may apply if conditions differ on inspection.
3.3 The Company reserves the right to revise pricing where:Infestation severity is greater than expectedAccess is restricted or unsafeAdditional treatments are required
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Payment is due 30 days from the date of the invoice or upon completion of Services which will be specified on the clients' quote unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4.2 The Company may require deposits for larger or ongoing works.
4.3 Late payments may incur interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4.4 The Company reserves the right to suspend or cancel Services for non-payment.
5. Client Responsibilities
5.1 The Client must:Provide safe and reasonable access to the PremisesDisclose relevant information regarding infestations, hazards, or prior treatmentsFollow all preparation and aftercare instructions provided
5.2 The Company shall not be liable for ineffective treatment where instructions are not followed.
6. Service Delivery
6.1 Services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill in accordance with industry standards.
6.2 Appointment times are estimates; the Company shall not be liable for delays beyond reasonable control.
6.3 The Company reserves the right to refuse or cease work where conditions are unsafe or unlawful.
7. Treatments and Guarantees
7.1 Pest control treatments reduce and manage infestations but cannot guarantee permanent eradication due to environmental factors.
7.2 Any guarantee provided will:Be limited to specific pests and treatment areasBe valid only if full payment has been madeBe void if the Client fails to follow advice or if new infestations occur
7.3 Natural re-infestation is not considered a failure of treatment.
8. Use of Chemicals and Safety
8.1 The Company uses approved pesticides and control methods in accordance with UK regulations including COSHH.
8.2 The Client must comply with all safety advice, including vacating treated areas if instructed.
8.3 The Company shall not be liable for adverse effects where instructions are not followed.
9. Liability
9.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
9.2 Subject to clause 9.1, the Company’s liability is limited to the value of the Services provided.
9.3 The Company shall not be liable for:Indirect or consequential lossesBusiness interruption or loss of profitPre-existing structural defects or damage
9.4 The Client is responsible for removing or protecting valuables prior to treatment.
10. Access and Property
10.1 The Client confirms permission for the Company to access the Premises.
10.2 The Company shall take reasonable care but is not responsible for:Damage due to necessary access to treatment areasHidden defects or fragile structures
11. Cancellation and Rescheduling
11.1 The Client must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
11.2 The Company may charge a cancellation fee for late notice or missed appointments.
11.3 The Company reserves the right to cancel Services due to unforeseen circumstances, with reasonable notice where possible.
12. Termination
12.1 Either party may terminate ongoing contracts with written notice as agreed.
12.2 The Company may terminate immediately where:The Client breaches these TermsPayment is not madeSafety risks arise
13. Data Protection
13.1 The Company processes personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
13.2 Client information will be used only for service delivery, administration, and legal compliance.
14. Force Majeure
14.1 The Company shall not be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:Weather conditionsActs of GodGovernment restrictions
15. Complaints
15.1 Any complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the Service.
15.2 The Company will investigate and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
16. Governing Law
16.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
16.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
17. Amendments
17.1 The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.
17.2 Updated Terms will be made available upon request or on the Company’s website.
